What are Cannabinoids?

CBD is short for cannabidiol, is one of a class of naturally-occurring compounds called phytocannabinoids, which are found in all plant life, but are found in higher concentrations in the Sativa plant.  The most common ones are CBD and THC, they’re in the same cannabinoid family but there are more than 100 different cannabinoids. CBD is associated with the medicinal and healing properties of the plant that does not produce a high, unlike its distant cousin THC which produces the psychoactive high.

Will CBD get me high?

No, our full spectrum tinctures contain <0.3% THC. CBD is a derivative of cannabis, but it’s a non-psychoactive substance unlike THC, the effects come without the psychoactive effect.

Is CBD right for me?

CBD has been traditionally used to ease pain, anxiety, sleeplessness and more. If you’re uncertain whether CBD is a good option for you, it’s always best to ask your medical professional or healthcare provider.

Are there side effects to CBD?

Everyone’s bodies are unique and different, just like anything else there could be side effects but CBD is often well-tolerated by many people. CBD can cause side effects, such as dry mouth, diarrhea, reduced appetite, drowsiness and fatigue. CBD can also interact with other medications you're taking, we suggest consulting with your medical professional before taking CBD.

What are adaptogens?

Adaptogens are specific herbs, mushrooms, and plants containing compounds that are uniquely beneficial to our health. Globally, they have been used as medicine for centuries. These botanicals  help our bodies react and recover from physical, mental, or biological stress. They are thought to stimulate the body's stress-protection response and can help balance your natural equilibrium. They may support other health issues like pain, digestion, insomnia, immunity, and more. Adaptogens  'adapt' their function to your body's individual needs and improve your overall sense of wellbeing.

What’s Lion’s Mane?

Lion’s mane mushrooms are large, shaggy, white mushrooms that resemble—you guessed it—a lion’s mane. Some refer to it as “the Smart Mushroom” because they contain bioactive substances that benefit the body; especially the brain, heart and gut. Lion's Mane is believed to support focus, mental clarity, memory, and can act as a natural energy booster. Lion’s Mane has been shown to improve immune function, be beneficial in treating strong feelings of worry and sadness, and has positive effects on cognitive health.

What’s Reishi?

Reshi mushrooms are fan-shaped, shiny, and dark red or brown. It is a fungus that grows in various hot and humid locations in Asia. Revered for over 2,000 years, some refer to it as the “the Mushroom of Immortality”. Reishi is one of the most commonly-used adaptogenic mushrooms because it is found to be greatly beneficial to holistic wellness. Rich with minerals & bioactive compounds, Reishi has been used to boost the immune system, relieve stress and anxiety, soothe inflammation, improve sleep and help restore balance.

What’s Cordyceps?

Cordyceps mushrooms are skinny, bright orange or brown mushrooms. Known as “the Olympic Mushroom,” cordyceps have been used in Eastern medicine to reduce fatigue, boost strength and enhance sex drive. Cordyceps are thought to increase the body’s production of the molecule adenosine triphosphate (ATP), which increases cellular oxygen absorption, and is essential for delivering energy to the muscles. This adaptogenic mushroom works to support your adrenal glands and helps your body produce and maintain consistent energy levels. Overall, it might improve the flow of oxygen throughout the body, especially during exercise.

What’s Ashwagandha?

Ashwagandha is a popular herb used in Ayurveda (an alternative medicine system with historical roots in India) for thousands of years. The evergreen shrub is native to India, the Middle East and parts of Africa. Ashwagandha contains chemicals that might help calm the brain, support cognitive function,  regulate cortisol levels, and support the immune system—a traditionally-used remedy for easing stress and balancing moods. Ashwagandha has been known to rejuvenate the body in times of high stress, extreme fatigue, mental congestion, and anxiety. 

What’s Passionflower?

Passionflower is considered a nervine herb, i.e. plants that offer support to the brain and nervous system.* Passionflower is a climbing vine with white & purple flowers, native to Central & South America. Native Americans used passionflower to treat a variety of conditions, including anxiousness, insomnia, pain and restlessness.

What’s Melatonin?

Melatonin is an ancient molecule that can be traced back to the origin of life. Melatonin is a natural hormone found in plants and animals that plays a role in restful sleep. The production and release of melatonin in the brain is connected to time of day, increasing when it's dark and decreasing when it's light. Your natural melatonin production declines with age.

What’s COQ10?

Coenzyme Q10 (in short: CoQ10) is naturally-produced that can also be found in various foods. CoQ10 acts as an antioxidant, which protects cells from damage and plays an important part in the metabolism. As you get older, CoQ10 levels decline, decreasing the body's ability to manage inflammation and oxidative stress effectively.

Product Questions

Can you take the tinctures on a daily basis?

Our tinctures are safe to take on a daily basis, but keep in mind that everyone’s tolerance is different.  Adaptogenic mushrooms need to be consumed consistently in mild to moderate doses (depending on potency) in order to feel noticeable effects.  Depending on your biology, you could see improvement in as little as a week. The longer you use it, the more benefits you’re likely to experience. We can’t wait for you to feel the Love Herb Co difference.

How much CBD should I take per day?

As with all health-related information, usage and effects may vary from person to person. The dosing of CBD is dependent on many factors, such as your overall health, medications, nutritional status, and more. Talk to your doctor if you have concerns!

Our tincture bottles have 30 ml which is roughly 30 servings (each serving has 33mg).They are a very safe dosing range, and we highly suggest that you start low and go slow. In most cases, we recommend 1ml per day (1 full dropper). Some people prefer less, and some can tolerate more. It’s important to pay attention to how you’re feeling and to monitor your personal health.

What is full-spectrum CBD?

In other words, the whole enchilada. Love Herb Co products are full-spectrum—meaning, we utilize the whole plant to extract all beneficial compounds naturally found in the cannabis plant including trace amounts of THC (less than 0.3%) and other beneficial cannabinoids.  We take a more holistic view of how plant parts work together. Full spectrum CBD functions more effectively in our bodies and retains more of the plant’s active ingredients. It has been scientifically proven that CBD works better when other cannabinoids are present.  

Are the mushrooms used in the products the same as “shrooms” aka magic mushrooms?

No! Traditional Chinese Herbalism has a long history of using medicinal mushrooms for health benefits and to cure a variety of ailments . You will not hallucinate—gotta see your other guy for that.

How long do your tinctures last?

All of our tinctures have a shelf life of two years after opening. We’re confident you will love our products so much, you won’t even have to worry about expiration.

Where do your CBD, adaptogens, and other ingredients come from?

All of our CBD, adaptogens, and other ingredients are produced in the United States.

Where are Love Herb Co products made?

All of our products are made in Southern California.

No, the FDA does not approve herbal supplements but they do regulate the manufacturing and label guidelines to ensure the safety of the products. We are in compliance with these guidelines; committed to providing safe, high-quality products through proper sourcing and rigorous testing.

Are Love Herb Co products safe for my pets?

We do not recommend using our products on your pet. All of our products were created and dosed for human use. We highly recommend consulting your pet's veterinarian before allowing your pet to consume our products.

When using with food or drink, what temperature can the tinctures handle?

We love where your mind’s at—feel free to add the tinctures into anything as hot as a cup of coffee. The maximum temperature we recommend is ​​212°F. If you plan to have  food or drink on high heat for an extended period of time, the maximum temperature we recommend is 122°F. Energy tincture contains COQ10, should keep cool for best results, you can be heated up to 104°F.

Warning: 300 ​°F is the temperature at which the tincture oil and CBD degradation occurs. 

Best practice? Add the tinctures to your food & drinks after they’re done cooking & off the heat. Pro-tip: they do very well in your favorite smoothie recipes. 

Orders & Shipping

When will my order arrive?

It typically takes 1-2 business days to process your order. After receiving your shipping confirmation email with tracking information, your product will ship out and arrive within 5-7 business days. If you haven't received your order within the expected delivery time, please send us a note at loveandsupport@loveherbco.com.

Can I track my order?

All shipping confirmation emails are sent out with an assigned tracking number for the shipment. Please note that some carriers take a few days to update tracking scans; this does not mean that your package isn't in transit. Upon delivery, we do not require signatures upon receipt and we are not responsible for lost or stolen packages.

What countries do you ship to?

How do I get free shipping?

We offer free shipping on orders over $100 to the contiguous U.S. We use USPS and UPS for all deliveries and will ship based on the method you select from the available options at checkout.

Refunds & Exchanges

What's your refund policy?

We will gladly refund the purchase price of your unopened  (before shipping & handling charges) if you are not fully satisfied. To receive a full refund to the original payment method used, orders must be returned within 30 days of the delivery date. Products that are opened are not eligible for a return. You will be responsible for the cost of return shipping,  shipping costs are non-refundable.  If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund. If you're shipping an item over $75, you should consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We don't guarantee that we will receive your returned item.

Just a heads up, we won’t be able to issue a refund for products without proof of purchase. 

Refunds are given for regular priced items, sale items are final sale, and can not be returned.

What's your return and refund process?

• Start Return: To complete your return, please email us at loveandsupport@loveherbco.com, include your order number, the reason for the return, and proof of purchase. 
• Let’s Connect: Our custom support team will respond within 48 hours to review your email and reach out with next steps. Our return address will be via email. 
• Get Your Return Ready: Please pack up your items as securely as possible and send it back to us. No love lost.
• Shipping: Once we receive your item and the product is inspected, we will notify you by email of the approval or rejection of your refund, within 5-7 business days from your return delivery date. If you're approved, your refund will be processed minus original shipping cost, and a credit will automatically be applied to your original method of payment.  Standard processing time of refunds can take up to 10 business days to appear on your credit card statement.  Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too. Please be patient with us. If more than 15 business days have passed since we’ve approved your return, please contact us at loveandsupport@loveherbco.com.

What happens if my package was damaged or has issues?  

Please check your shipment carefully upon arrival to ensure it has not been damaged by the shipping carrier in transit or any other issues. Contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.

All claims for damaged products or any other issues must be made within 48 hours of the package being delivered. If in the event, you do report a damaged product after the 48 hour window stated, please note we are not responsible and the product would no longer be eligible to be replaced or refunded.

To report shipping damage, incorrect or defective products, please email us at loveandsupport@loveherbco.com. All shipping damages, incorrect or defective products, claims must include detailed information of the damage as well as photographic evidence.
